First Confirmed Case of H1N1 in Egypt

The World Health Organization reported on Tuesday that Egypt confirmed the first case of H1N1 flu virus. The case involves a 12-year-old girl that arrived to Cairo.
The infected girl is an American from Minnesota that was travelling with her mother to spend holidays in Egypt. She was quarantined as she arrived the Cairo airport.
The case was detected by the thermal detectors placed in the airport as declared by the regional adviser for communicable disease surveillance for the WHO, Hassan al-Bushra.
Hassan al-Bushra also stated that she is in good condition and given treatment. Her mother was given treatment as well.
This case of H1N1 is the first in Africa.
