Bali Ditetapkan KLB Flu Babi

Denpasar - Pemerintah Provinsi Bali menetapkan status KLB (kejadian luar biasa) Influenza H1N1 dengan ditemukan dua warga negara asing positif terjangkit virus ini.

"Dengan ditemukannya kasus ini dan belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya maka Bali ditetapkan sebagai status KLB influensa H1N1," kata Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Bali Nyoman Sutedja, Sabtu (27/6/2009).

Untuk pertama kalinya di Bali ditemukan dua warga asing yang terjangkit flu babi, yaitu bocah asal Australia George Coltman (10) dan Bobie Masoner (22) asal Inggris yang menetap di Australia. Bobie kini telah dinyatakan sehat dan terbebas dari flu babi.

Sementara, dua warga negara Australia lainnya, yaitu Tayla Mario (14) dan James Antonuccio (10) yang berstatus suspect flu babi masih menjalani perawatan intensif di RSUP Sanglah, Denpasar.

Sutedja menjelaskan, Bali ditetapkan sebagai KLB flu babi bukan dilihat dari jumlah penderitanya. "Tetapi karena belum pernah terjadi di Bali," katanya.

Mengantisipasi merebaknya kasus ini, pemerintah Provinsi Bali meminta agar pengawasan dan pemeriksaan terhadap penumpang internasional diperketat serta menambahkan therma scanner. Klinik dan hotel di Bali juga diminta bekerja sama dengan menyediakan masker

SINGAPORE : 95 new confirmed cases of Influenza A (H1N1-2009)


Singapore has confirmed 95 new cases (221st to 315th cases) of Influenza A (H1N1-2009), bringing the total tally to 315 confirmed cases. 47 of the new cases have been investigated, and they comprise 25 local cases, and 22 imported cases. The remaining 48 cases are still being investigated.

2 The 25 new local cases comprise of 10 Butter Factory patrons and staff, four from the Maju Camp cluster, and two local transmission cases arising from close contact with from imported cases. There is also a new cluster of 12 linked to Republic Polytechnic, which includes nine new cases as reported today, and three previous cases from the social cluster.

3 Those who develop flu symptoms and have a recent travel history to countries with community spread of Influenza A (H1N1) should call 993 promptly for an ambulance. They should avoid taking public transport or taxi to minimise exposure. Those who develop flu symptoms but do not have recent travel history to affected countries should wear a mask and visit a GP. They should avoid going out in crowded areas.

4 Those who are planning to travel should check the MOH website for the latest update on the list of countries with confirmed cases and/or exported H1N1 cases so that they can make considered decisions on whether to proceed with their travel plans. MALAYSIA : 11 New H1N1 Cases Detected

PUTRAJAYA, June 25 (Bernama) -- Eleven Influenza A(H1N1) cases were detected from yesterday until 8am today comprising eight imported cases and three local transmissions, Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said.

He said that of the eight imported cases, five were Malaysians while the rest were Irish, Australian and Philippine citizens.

Of the three local transmission, two were Malaysians and the other, a Yemeni.

"The latest figure brings the number of confirmed H1N1 cases to 91, comprising 77 imported and 14 local transmissions. Of these, 35 patients have recovered while the rest were still receiving treatment," he told reporters after attending the ministry's awards ceremony here Thursday.

He said that the number of schools closed due to the disease remained at four.

Liow said the 81st cases was a 27-year-old Malaysian woman who developed a fever while in Phuket, Thailand on June 19.

She returned to Malaysia on Sunday on AirAsia flight number AK823 which landed at the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal in Sepang. She then took AirAsia AK5368 flight to Penang.

She was admitted to Penang Hospital on Monday.

Four people who came in contact with her were hospitalised at the Alor Setar Hospital while seven were put on house quarantine.

The 82nd case involved a 26-year-old Australian tourist who arrived at the Kuching International Airport from Singapore on board Jetstar flight 3K529 on Monday.

Eighteen passengers of the flight had been identified and put on house quarantine while the rest were still being traced, he said.

The 83rd case was a Yemeni man, 25, who is a friend of the 63rd victim.

A nine-year-old child, a Malaysian who lives with parents in Cyprus, is the 84th victim.

The patient arrived home on June 20 and was admitted to the University of Malaya Medical Centre while the child's eight family members had been put under house quarantine.

A six-year-old Irish girl who arrived on June 21 is the 85th victim. Eleven people who came in contact with her had been traced and quarantined.

The 86th and 87th cases involve a Malaysian woman and man, aged 29 and 21 years respectively.

Those who came in contact with the woman had been identified while the man's contacts were still being traced.

The 88th case is a Filipina who arrived at the LCCT yesterday.

A 19-month-old baby is the 89th victim and is reportedly stable.

The 90th victim is a 24-year-old Malaysian who has no recent travel history. He is a contact of the 74th victim.

The 91st victim is a Malaysian who returned from Melbourne, Australia on June 20. He was on transit at the KL International Airport before taking a flight to Kota Kinabalu and then to Sandakan on June 20.
